Duet Air is our in-app subscription that'll allow you to turn your iPad, Mac or PC into a lightning-fast remote desktop or wireless second display so you can get things done from anywhere. To do so, please follow the steps below:
Signing up on Mac or PC
Duet Display Mac Download
There's 2 methods to sign up for Duet Air on Mac or PC – through our website or Duet's desktop UI
a. Signing up through our website
Access the following link through your web browser: https://rdp.duetdisplay.com/login and create your account by clicking on Sign up – here's how
- You should then receive a confirmation e-mail – please verify it (make sure to also check your spam box). If for some reason you're not receiving the verification e-mail, click on the 'Forgot Password' button – that'll prompt you to create a new password, but will also verify your account automatically.
- Once verified, sign in using the account you just created
- Then, select Air for just $19.99 per year, enter your payment information and click on 'Submit'
- You got it! You should now be able to connect wirelessly or through the Remote Desktop feature to your desktop. Now just Sign In on Duet's desktop UI using the same account you've just created in our website – here's how:
- Make sure to have 'Screen Sharing Enabled' checkmarked as shown below:
- As a final step, proceed to Sign Inon your iPad – make sure to use the same account you just created in our website. For wireless connection use the Duet tab and for Remote Desktop use the Air tab
b. Through Duet's desktop interface
If you've subscribed through our website, there's no need to sign up again – instead, sign in on Duet's desktop UI using the account you've just created. If you do decide to sign up through Duet's desktop UI, please follow the steps listed below:
- Open Duet on your desktop and select Profile.Enter your e-mail, password, confirm password, and click 'Submit'
- Agree to the Duet Services EULA
- As soon as you agree, you'll get an e-mail requesting your account's verification (be sure to also check your spam box) and verify it. Once you do that, you'll fall into your account's profile, which proves further the sign up process was successful. Make sure 'Screen Sharing Enabled' is checkmarked:
- Head towards the 'Desktop' icon and click on 'Start 1 Week Trial' and enter your payment information – Duet Air is just $19.99 USD per year and includes the features below:
- Once you've successfully began your trial, you should be good to go and start up using Duet as a lightning-fast, wireless second display. To further manage your subscription, head towards this link: https://rdp.duetdisplay.com/login and sign in.
- As a final step, proceed to Sign Inon your iPad – make sure to use the same account you just created in Duet's desktop UI. For wireless connection use the Duet tab and for Remote Desktop use the Air tab
Signing up on iOS
- Open Duet on your iPad and tap on 'Sign up' – if you already subscribed through either our website or Duet's desktop UI, there's no need to subscribe thru your iOS device – 'Sign In' instead
- Read the Privacy Policy and tap 'Continue'. As soon you do that, you'll get an e-mail requesting your account's verification – please verify it. Once you do that, the process should be successful
- To subscribe to Duet Air, press the Pro button on Duet's app on your iPad
- Select the Duet Air subscription button – 'Start 1 Week Trial'
- Confirm the purchase by entering your password
- Confirm the subscription
- You should then get a 'Welcome' screen – hit Next to view the available gestures
- You should now be able to connect wirelessly or through the Remote Desktop feature to your desktop – for wireless connection use the Duet tab and for Remote Desktop use the Air tab. Proceed to also Sign in on Duet's desktop UI – make sure to use the same account you just created and to have 'Screen Sharing Enabled' checkmarked on the Profile tab. For wireless connection use the Duet tab and for Remote Desktop use the Air tab
If for any reason the Pro button isn't showing up, please use this link: duetdisplay://openStorePanel on your iPad – it'll force the button to appear. If you're still having trouble, try changing the iPad's name to 'iPadPro' – without quotations – that should do the trick!
